Are Essential Oils Affordable? - Part One - Replace

The main reason I hear that most people haven't taken the plunge into an essential oils journey is the cost.  I can completely relate this.  It took over a year of convincing for my husband to give me the green light on ordering my kit.  I can tell you with 100% certainty that the starter kit is worth every penny, but it is hard to convince others of that when they have never experienced the benefits of Young Living's oils.

As I have said before, they have been truly life changing for our family and while you cannot really put a price on that, Young Living has.  $150.

I know it is a large sum of money for families that are on a tight budget and/or for families who are unsure of their effectiveness or their real value.  But I do not want the cost to be a barrier for anyone that prevents them from experiencing the positive life change that these oils can help provide.  So I wanted to start a series of posts on how to make essential oils affordable so that making the initial purchase of the Premium Starter Kit is easier on you and your family.

Part One - Replace

For us and many others, purchasing essential oils has not been an additional cost in our budget.  It has taken the place of many other purchases.

I have not purchased any cleaners, toiletries or beauty products in over six months.  This alone has saved us at least $50 a month because we were budgeting for "natural" products which are very expensive and still aren't completely pure.  My weekly store list now only consists of food and paper products.  This has not only saved us money, but has also simplified my life and given me more confidence because I am using completely pure and very effective products for our family and our home.

The effectiveness of the oils in supporting our immune systems has drastically reduced our doctor visits and medication purchases.  This past winter and spring, we saved hundreds on co-pays by not going to the doctor for allergy and respiratory issues.  We were able to effectively handle those symptoms at home.  When I was facing some serious hormonal imbalances, I was looking at over $2,000 in testing to confirm which route I was to go medically - expensive hormone therapy and/or even more expensive surgery.  With two different bottles of oil blends, I was able to support my hormones and adrenals which helped my body to heal itself naturally.  So I did not have to complete all the testing and treatment that my doctor had recommended for those imbalances.  Also, thanks to prayer and the support I have received from oils for emotional challenges, I did not have to see a therapist or go on any anxiety or depression medication which saved us hundreds, too, I am sure.  Due to all of this, we were confident in making the decision to increase our health insurance deductible which saved us over $250 a month on our premium.  That was a HUGE blessing for our family!  (I am in no way suggesting that you do this without much prayer and complete agreement with your spouse.  This was a personal decision that our family made.)

I also no longer purchase candles or air fresheners to use in our home or vehicles.  Young Living even has an amazing Christmas blend to diffuse during the holidays!  I give homemade gifts using essential oils when I can which has also saved us some money in that area.  I have so loved giving people these gifts so that they can experience the amazing benefits of essential oils, too.  It can be as easy as a roll on bottle or a body cream.

Although Young Living puts prices on their oils and products, the life that we now have is truly invaluable.  It has been a complete transformation and I am so thankful.  I hope that this encourages you to "move some money around" so that you can be more confident in the value of the Premium Starter Kit and a wholesale membership with Young Living!
