Using ALL the Oil in a Bottle

Do you have a bunch of empty oil bottles? Don't throw them or the tiny bit of bit of oil left inside away!  Here are a few options on how to use every last drop.

EPSOM SALTS for BATH

I ran out of Grounding yesterday (WAH!). Instead of (crying and) adding it to my ever growing collection of empty bottles, I decided to put it and one of many empty Lavender bottles to good use. So I put a cup of Epsom salts in a glass bowl, removed the caps and reducer lids, dumped the extra oil inside and then sunk the empty bottles into the salts. I'll just put the lid on it and let it sit for a day or so. The salt will get infused with the oil and aroma and I'll have amazing, oily goodness for two baths!

Other great combos for this would be...

Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint
RC and Eucalyptus
Tea Tree and Lemon
Peace & Calming and Lavender
Frankincense and Lavender

The possibilities are endless!

CLEAN BOTTLES and DIFFUSER WATER

I saw this on Instagram the other day and took a bit of time this morning to try it for myself. It worked well and I think it is so smart so I wanted to share!
Here is another way to use the oil leftover in empty bottles and to
preserve and clean your bottles to use for diluted blends and roll-ons!
First, I grouped my empty bottles into categories...
Thieves, Lemon, Orange, Christmas Spirit - Warm & Cozy Blend
Lavender, Peace & Calming, Valor - Relaxing Blend
Citrus Fresh, Purification, Peppermint - Clean & Energizing Blend
I filled a shallow pot with a quart of water, put the bottles inside (by category) and let it come to barely a boil. I removed it from the heat, took the bottles out with kitchen tongs and set them aside to cool. Then, I poured the oil infused water into mason jars. I will let the water cool, put a lid on the jar and use it to fill our diffusers!
For the bottles, you just allow them to cool, peel off the labels and use a little Lemon oil on a paper towel to remove any leftover sticky residue.
Viola! You have lots of clean bottles and plenty of diffuser fill-ups! Yes, you are heating the oils so they will lose some of their qualities BUT you will still get a lot of the aromatherapy benefits they provide.
(Note - I do not recommend drinking this diffuser water. I am sure that some of the glue from the labels gets into the water with this process and that would not be wise to ingest. Perfectly OK to diffuse, though!)
